HUNTSVILLE | Small College Basketball announced their Top 100 Watch List for the Bevo Francis Award on Thursday and three UAH men’s basketball players were named to the list. Luke Burnett, Blake Campbell, and Tommy Murr each found their way onto the list that recognizes players with outstanding achievement on the court during the 2024-25 season among all players in NCAA DIvision II-III, NAIA, USCAA Division I-II, and NCCAA Division I-II.
The Clarence “Bevo” Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations are given to season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. The award is given to one player within Small College Basketball per season and has been given annually since 2016.
All three Chargers named to the list rank within the top-12 in scoring in the Gulf South Conference, with Murr leading the way at 19.5 points per game and 6.0 assists per game.
Burnett is pouring in 18.0 points per game, shooting 41.3 percent from three, and 4.2 made threes per game, the second-ranked mark in all of NCAA Division II.
Campbell is averaging 16.1 points per game on a stellar 62.1 percent field goal percentage while holding a 2.3 assist-to-turnover ratio, good for second in the GSC.
The Blue & White return to action as they host in-state and Gulf South Conference foe West Alabama on Saturday at 4 p.m., as UAH will celebrate Military Appreciation Day, presented by AUSA and Radiance Technologies, at Spragins Hall.
