A new study from cinch has looked at the UK’s best national parks to visit based on several key factors.

The team looked at the number of cafes, parking spaces, the average temperature and the parks’ popularity on social media.

While each of the UK’s national parks have their own selling points, the country’s oldest park grabbed the top spot.

It spans across five counties and is easily accessible from Manchester, Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham.

Ashford-in-the-Water is considered to be one of the Peak District’s prettiest villages and is known for the medieval Sheepwash Bridge.

“However, based on our findings, the perfect location for a road trip is the Peak District, the first of Britain’s 15 national parks to be established.”
