We are seeking an experienced Bike Mechanic to join our team, working between our Guildford and Gomshall stores. The ideal candidate will have understanding of bicycle mechanics to a high standard, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for cycling. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers’ bikes are maintained to the highest standards, allowing them to enjoy seamless rides on the trails.
You will: have an understanding of current technologies and trends, and want to learn about the latest and greatest mountain bike kit to help guide our customers to the best possible setup, quote a wide range of bike repair works accurately, discussing recommendations with customers, carry out necessary work methodically, efficiently and accurately, order and chase parts, and take ownership of jobs assigned to you, and carry out warranty work, chasing suppliers and managing expectations.

Bicycle Mechanic – Sunset Cycles at Mountain View Bike Park
Sunset Cycles are looking for an experienced, qualified bicycle mechanic to work full time in our bike park based store and warehouse, This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic mountain biker/Mechanic to work in dream environment. If you think you can work in a busy workshop carrying out repair work and Bike assembly to a high standard then we would like to hear from you. We mainly deal with high end mountain bikes & e-bikes so a good knowledge and experience of these would be essential.
Responsibilities include: booking in customers, servicing and repairs of all kinds, advising customers, pricing and quoting for work, diagnosing faults and managing jobs from start to finish, building and checking new bikes ready for sale/display/test rides, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for customers and our team
Essential Requirements include: 2 years’ experience working on bikes from £500 to £5000+, Cytech 2 or similar, good listening and communication skills, excellent mechanical skills, the ability to work around complex problems on a range of different bikes, importantly Electric bikes, and able to work independently and work in an efficient and timely manner.

We provide services to a wide range of customers, ranging from independents to elite athletes and from manufacturers to race teams and Olympic campaigns.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team and will support SSEH with the operation, maintenance and development of the facility and the associated equipment including wind tunnels, mechanical test rigs, and the human performance lab.
