We provide services to a wide range of customers, ranging from independents to elite athletes and from manufacturers to race teams and Olympic campaigns.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team and will support SSEH with the operation, maintenance and development of the facility and the associated equipment including wind tunnels, mechanical test rigs, and the human performance lab.
Bike Technician – Specialized Concept Store Chelmsford

This role includes overseeing and dealing with day-to-day decisions and supporting the Store Manager as required.
Main responsibilities include complete planning and organisation of workshop/service jobs, including ensuring that the service diary is always up to date to ensure all jobs are completed on time. You will ensure the provision of a comprehensive repairs service for customers, including the diagnosis, repair, and invoicing within given time scales. This will involve agreeing and setting time scales for repair, estimating costs where required, liaising with the customer as necessary.
Store Manager – Giant St Albans
Are you a Store Manager looking for a new challenge, an Assist Manager on the rise or a career changer with management experience who loves bikes? Our Store Manager role in St Albans could be the perfect place for you. We want our managers leading from the front. We don’t want you poring over spreadsheets and missing the conversations with bike buyers, and with a small team the focus has to be on customer service at all times.
The Store Manager is responsible for a team of 4-6 staff including a busy workshop and Bike fitting studio. The store is open Tuesday to Sunday. The manager is expected to work one of the weekend days and ensure that the store runs smoothly for the whole working week. They will be responsible for planning their time and that of the rest of the staff effectively in this exciting location in St Albans.
The succesful candidate will have: a “Can Do” attitude, strong leadership skills, an ability to motivate a sales team to hit targets, to deliver excellent customer service, to communicate confidently with everyone from our founders, the MD of Giant UK through to your junior part-timers, and be highly organised and meticulous.

Candidates will have good technical and mechanical knowledge of bikes and experience of bike maintenance and servicing in a busy environment. The ideal candidate will be a conscientious and dedicated individual who appreciates quality and attention to detail.
As an experienced mechanic you will have the ability to problem-solve and work with the minimum of oversight. General IT competency is necessary as you will be required to work as part of a team and share the diary/workload with your colleagues using a computer program and database. Qualification to Cytech level 2 or 3 is preferred, although specific training in all areas will be provided to the successful candidate.
