Branch Manager – Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op
Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op is a long established, respected independent bike retailer. Founded in 1977, we operate six retail outlets across Scotland and the North of England as well as an e-commerce operation supported by a large warehouse/ distribution centre on the outskirts of Edinburgh. As an employee owned business, service quality and the customer are at the heart of what we do.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Branch Manager in our Newcastle store and we’re inviting candidates to apply. Based at our store in Byker, you will have responsibility for all aspects of running the branch, ensuring it is completely focused on serving customers and making sales.
The role of the Branch Manager is fundamental to the smooth running of the store and the key responsibilities include: managing, recruiting, training, motivating and focusing the Branch staff (approx 8), scheduling staff to match customer demand, delivering the highest levels of customer service, displaying and merchandising our products attractively, clearly and effectively, delivering workshop services to the highest levels, meeting or exceeding agreed sales targets, and keeping the department’s costs within agreed budgets.
Senior Salesperson – Giant Twickenham
We are looking for a full-time sales person to work in our Twickenham store. Maybe you have been cutting your teeth at Halfords, Evans, Balfe’s, an IBD? Or perhaps you are a cyclist who has the interest and customer service skills to change career and work in the bike industry? If so, are you looking to work in a small, well organised and friendly bike company?
We are looking for a mature, outgoing and cheerful person to offer help and support to our customers as they enter the store and shop from our showroom. You will also help and support the store manager, workshop staff, and senior bike fitter. You will be completely immersed in the day to day demands of a busy cycle retailer, bike fitting studio and professional workshop.
For the right candidate there are even opportunities to progress your skills to build display bikes, become a service mechanic, and learn Bike Fitting skills. In addition, this is a keyholding role for the right candidate.
Bike Mechanic – Saddle Skedaddle
Reporting to our Chief Guide and Operations Manager and coordinating with freelance tour guides and local suppliers; this role is responsible for ensuring we provide an unforgettable experience for our UK holiday customers.
The successful candidate will deliver a high standard of bicycle servicing and repairs for a range of bike types including e-bikes, and contribute to the upkeep, cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and bike storage areas. The role also includes work with the local team to manage, source, maintain and repair other resources and equipment on site.
Responsibilities will also include: supervision of the site and its resources, upkeep of various equipment and resources when necessary – purchasing, repairs, maintenance, inventory, coordinating resources with operations team including use of the Resource Management System, contributing to the continuous improvement of internal systems, some coordinating between Penrith workshop and other mechanics/workshops across the UK, and promoting and contributing to Health and Safety and best practices in store, in UK offices and with guides.

Part Time Sales Assistant – Wheelbase North East
We are currently looking for the right applicants to join our Store Sales Team at our North East store in Darlington. Providing the latest products from the leading brands across all disciplines of our sport – mountain, road, electric, leisure, kids and adventure.
The role is fast paced, varied and testing. You will be expected to: offer first-class customer service to all of our store customers at the UK’s largest cycle store, provide advice, assistance and expertise within any of our store departments; mountain, road, electric, leisure, kids and adventure, and work closely with your Store Sales Team to create a positive, exciting and engaging retail environment.
You will be required to: achieve a best-in-class customer experience and ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service, have a passion for cycling and develop your product knowledge across mountain, road, electric, leisure, kids and adventure bikes, clothing and accessories, engage with customers, from meeting and greeting to asking questions, listening, and understanding their needs, correctly process your sales and keep the customer up to date with progress, and be a team player – support the Store Managers and the rest of your store team.
