Ace Bicycles is a destination mountain bike store located close to the Surrey Hills in Guildford, Surrey. Our bike brands include Specialized, Santa Cruz, Whyte, Mondraker, Transition, Forbidden, Pivot & Hope. We’re a bike shop run by riders for riders. We prioritise high levels of product, service and setup which is backed up by the brands we work with, and we work hard to keep our customers on the trails.
We are seeking an experienced Bike Mechanic to join our team, working between our Guildford and Gomshall stores. The ideal candidate will have understanding of mountain bike mechanics to a high standard, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for mountain bikes. You will be responsible for ensuring our customers’ bikes are maintained to the highest standards, allowing them to enjoy seamless rides on the trails.
What are we looking for? Proven experience as a bike mechanic, preferably with a focus on mountain bikes and e-bike systems (minimum 2 years preferred), comprehensive knowledge of various bike brands and components, the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, and excited to learn.
Social Media Manager – Muc-Off

As the business continues to grow at a fast pace there is now a need for a Social Media Manager who will report into the Senior Marketing Communications Manager at our Head Office in Poole, Dorset.
This role manages all social media channels across bicycle and powersports, to drive growth in terms of reach, and engagement with the brand. It also includes researching and analysing social media trends, as well as reporting on key measures such as revenue and web visitor data, to improve social media and brand presence and campaign efficacy. Works with various departments internally to promote overall brand through all social media channels.
With a keen eye on emerging trends and best practise, plans and delivers compelling campaigns across existing and emerging platforms. This role travers’s social strategy, delivery and evaluation, and requires a good knowledge of both cycling and powersports arenas, and the techniques required to create a truly world class approach to social media. This role interfaces heavily with the broader marketing team, content, creative, and leadership teams, so an ability to have positive impacts and build strong and credible relationships is key.
Cycle Technician – The Electric Bike Shop Brentwood
Whether it be for the weekday commute or weekend pursuits, our customers have very different preferences. What they all have in common is a genuine excitement when they’re presented with their cycling products & you are looked upon not just as a representative of The Electric Bike Shop, but a cycling know-it-all.
Your role as Cycle Technician is vital to maintaining our reputation for quality products and service that customers can rely on and trust. As Technician we want you to share our passion for cycling and help every customer to have everything they need to ‘enjoy the ride’. You’ll be comfortable both fixing bicycles and talking to customers. The ideal person loves getting hands-on and is extremely process-driven – you must be able to complete repairs to an exceptional standard in a set amount of time.
The Electric Bike Shop takes the continued professional development of its workshop technicians very seriously and offers the opportunity to gain Cytech Level 2 or Level 3 via the apprenticeship route to all of its technicians who do not already hold a formally recognised professional qualification. This offer of training will be subject to a fair contractual retention clause.
Part Time Sales Assistant – Mud Dock
Mud Dock is an iconic bike shop and café in the centre of Bristol. It’s set over two floors of the old harbourside building we refurbished back in the 1990s, with a bespoke workshop and large outdoor terrace added in 2006. Our love of bikes and food – together with the support of amazing staff and loyal customers – has helped us keep up with the newest cycling and restaurant trends. In 2024, we are proud to be celebrating our 30th anniversary.
We are currently recruiting for a new Sales Assistant to join our bike shop. This is a unique opportunity as Mud Dock typically runs a very low staff turnover, as we like to stick around. You will need to embrace a real passion and understanding of cycling along with trends and new tech.
Duties will include: help out with all shop floor operations and emails, being confident in selling our key brands (Brompton, Cannondale, Trek, Basso and Tern), having a good understanding of current P/A as well as great mechanical skills (Cytech 1 or equivalent experience preferable), and championing our products by delivering an excellent experience, be a role model and brand ambassador, helping the rest of the team to drive sales to meet and exceed store KPI’s
