The dress, which was primarily in a nude satin, featured a nipped in corset before cascading into a huge all-encompassing skirt. The leopard-print accents on the bodice provided the perfect unexpected finishing touch.

Selena Gomez skipped the main red carpet but was in attendance along with the rest of her Emilia Perez co-stars, and looked like a modern-day Cinderella in her pastel-hued custom Prada dress, which featured an off-the-shoulder neckline. Zoe Saldana was another of the night’s big winners, taking home the award for Best Supporting Female Actor in a Film – her first ever Golden Globe. She shone on the red carpet in a sequinned Saint Laurent dress and Cartier jewellery, but it was the accompanying chocolate-brown wrap that added a dose of drama.

Nicole Kidman turned to a tried-and-tested brand for her Golden Globes appearance, looking statuesque in a shimmering silver Balenciaga gown. The asymmetric style was completely backless and fell into an elegant pool around her feet.
