Josh Allen completed one of the coolest plays you’ll ever see last week, when he became one of the few players in NFL history to get credit for throwing and receiving a touchdown on the same play. And it was all made possible by Amari Cooper.
Cooper was the player who initially received the pass from Allen and had the wherewithal to lateral it back to the quarterback once he had no chance of advancing the ball farther. For that, Allen owes Cooper a tud of his own.
That’s absolutely not the sole reason Cooper is one of my favorite anytime touchdown scorer bets of Week 14, but I’m not completely ruling out the possibility that Allen might just look his way a little more against the Los Angeles Rams — and boy do the Rams like to give up touchdowns to wide receivers.
Here’s that and more of my favorite touchdown props, with odds from BetMGM.
I really like Khalil Shakir in this game too, especially since he’s been dominating the target share among Buffalo’s wide receivers. But it’s been outside receivers scoring most against the Rams this season and like I said, Allen might feel like he owes Cooper one. Hey, maybe Shakir and Cooper both score.
It’s been a long time since Etienne has reached the end zone and even longer since he’s been a relevant player. And though the latter isn’t likely to change against Tennessee, Etienne is probably the Jags’ best chance to punch the ball into the end zone with Mac Jones at quarterback. Not to mention, they’ll be just one bone-headed Will Levis play away from a short field to work with.
Atlanta’s secondary has allowed a ton of touchdowns, but it hasn’t necessarily been the top receiving threats burning them for scores. Oftentimes, it’s been a player like Nailor, who benefits from the attention received by someone like Justin Jefferson. By the way, Nailor is tied with Jefferson for Minnesota’s team-lead in receiving touchdowns.
Otton hasn’t reached the end zone since about a month ago when he had a stretch of four touchdowns in as many games, but he did tie for second on the team in targets last week and has a fantastic tight end matchup against the Raiders on Sunday.
Tracy continues to get plus-rushing matchups, and he’s rewarding bettors about every other game, scoring touchdowns in alternating games since Week 6. It’s about time he scores in consecutive games for the first time.
Warren has one touchdown all season and it came a few weeks ago against the same Browns team he’s about to play again. Why not take a swing on his second touchdown also coming against Cleveland? He touches the ball more than enough for it to happen.
