(KBTX) – The Texas A&M men’s basketball team cracked the top 10 in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll after a 20-point win over Texas to open Southeastern Conference play last Saturday.
The Aggies (12-2, 1-0) come in at No. 10 in the AP poll, while moving to No. 9 in the Coaches Poll.
It is the first time for the Aggies back in the top 10 since Christmas Day 2017. In that poll, the Aggies tied their program best ranking of No. 5. A&M spent five weeks in the top 10 that year.
The Aggies have 27 all-time weeks ranked in the top 10 of the AP Top 25.
A&M returns to action at 8 p.m. Wednesday, when the travel to Norman to face No. 17 Oklahoma in Norman.
