Top figures from tech, government, and global organisations will come together at this year’s Tech Week Singapore to explore the future of digital transformation across Asia. The event will spotlight artificial intelligence (AI) as the key theme, with discussions and sessions aimed at unpacking its growing influence across various industries.
Tech Week Singapore 2024, hosted by CloserStill Media, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The event is set to bring together some of the most influential names in technology, private companies, and government agencies. Notable figures such as Gareth Bowhill, CEO of CloserStill Media, will attend the event as the guest of honour, alongside representatives from organisations like AI Singapore, Google, IMDA, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and the United Nations.
Government agencies and ambassadors from the Australian High Commission, British High Commission, Embassy of Sweden, and Embassy of Ukraine will also be present. The event will feature over 600 speakers from across the globe, facilitating critical discussions on AI and other transformative technologies shaping the digital world.
Artificial intelligence will be the focal point of this year’s discussions, as speakers delve into its potential to reshape industries and drive innovation. Keynotes and panel discussions will explore AI’s capabilities to spur economic growth, enhance healthcare and education, and push forward scientific discoveries. The event will also look at the need for responsible AI development through partnerships between the public and private sectors.
Sandy Kunvatanagarn, Head of Policy for APAC at OpenAI, said, “AI can be a truly transformative technology, with the potential to drive faster economic growth, improve healthcare and education, inspire new scientific discoveries, and open up new horizons for creativity. Partnerships with both public and private sectors are critical to ensuring AI’s safe development and broad benefit distribution.”
Alongside the AI discussions, the event will cover a range of digital transformation topics through various co-located shows, including Cloud Expo Asia, Cyber Security World, DevOps Live, Big Data & AI World, eCommerce Expo, and Data Centre World.
This year’s event promises an expanded showcase of industries, technologies, and innovations. Google Cloud will host workshops at the Big Data & AI World, while Cyber Security World, for the first time, will collaborate with ISACA to provide continuing professional education (CPE) points for their members, reinforcing its position as a leader in cybersecurity education.
The demand for data centre solutions in the Asia-Pacific region is at an all-time high, and the expanded Data Centre World will cater to this growth with a 75% increase in space and an enhanced exhibitor line-up. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry giants and participate in country pavilions highlighting local digital transformation efforts.
Andy Kiwanuka, Managing Director of CloserStill Media (Asia), said, “The quality of speakers and attending industry leaders, alongside valuable networking opportunities, primes Tech Week Singapore as a destination where innovation, education, and investment converge to empower businesses. Amid rapid technological change, this event continues to be a key platform for ecosystem players and governments to navigate Asia’s tech landscape together.”
