FORT WORTH – TCU is again the preseason frontrunner to win the Big 12 Championship.
The Horned Frogs were picked first in Big 12 Men’s Tennis Preseason Poll following a vote of the conference’s head coaches.
TCU garnered 63 points and received seven of a possible nine first place votes. Head coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team. Arizona received the remaining pair of first place votes and was tabbed second with 57 points. Rounding out the top five of the poll are Baylor (47 points), Arizona State (46 points) and Oklahoma State (34 points).
The preseason prognostication marks the sixth time in 13 seasons of Big 12 membership TCU has been projected to claim the conference’s regular season crown.
The Horned Frogs have won a league-leading eight combined Big 12 regular season and tournament championships since 2015. TCU’s triumphed at the Big 12 tournament championship in 2023 for its most recent conference title. Five of the last eight regular season titles have found their way to Fort Worth.

TCU was also tabbed No.2 in the ITA preseason coaches poll on Monday, the program’s highest-ever ranking to begin a season. The Horned Frogs have earned four consecutive preseason top five rankings. Ahead of the 2025 campaign, TCU has spent 251 consecutive weeks in the top 10 and earned a top 10 final ITA team ranking for 10 straight seasons. TCU is the only program in the country that has garnered finished inside the top 10 every year since 2015.

TCU returns six players from last season’s NCAA Championship-winning squad. Headlining the returning cast is Jack Pinnington, the reigning NCAA Championships Most Outstanding Player, who recently announced he would return to TCU for his junior season. Also back are NCAA Doubles Champions Lui Maxted and Pedro Vives and sophomores Duncan Chan and Julian Alonso, who were tabbed 74th and 87th, respectively, in the latest ITA singles rankings.
