The sixth event of the 2024 LIV Golf League takes place at the Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, South Australia from Friday to Sunday this week in what promises to be another enthralling tournament.
American Talor Gooch claimed the spoils last year in the inaugural LIV Golf Adelaide – an event that was voted the world’s best golf event in 2023 – and a field of 54 will be heading back to the Grange GC to do battle again.
Spaniard Jon Rahm leads the betting at 13/2 as he aims to land his first title since joining the Saudi-backed circuit, while Joaquin Niemann is priced at 10/1 and Cameron Smith, Tyrrell Hatton and Bryson DeChambeau are available at 11/1.

Chilean to hit LIV hat-trick
Niemann started off the season in fantastic fashion with victory in the LIV opener in Mayakoba and he didn’t have to wait long for his second victory on this tour, as he claimed the spoils in Jeddah.
The Chilean was fourth in Hong Kong and 11th in Miami on his next two LIV outings and he followed that up with a tie for 22nd at the Masters, having been handed an invite for the first Major of the year.
Wary of dropping down the world rankings, the 25-year-old has also been featuring on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour in between LIV events, with a T4 coming at the Dubai Desert Classic and third place picked up at the International Series Oman.
This week’s venue, the Grange Golf Club, is a course that demands solid approach due to the firmness of the greens so it bodes well that Niemann ranks fourth in greens in regulation on LIV this season, while he is also 10th in putting average.
Niemann also triumphed at the ISPS Handa Australian Open in December and he will be confident of producing another strong effort Down Under.
Englishman to return to winners’ circle
After a disappointing 2023, Paul Casey appears to be getting back to his best this year and his five LIV outings have produced results of 12th, sixth, 30th, second and 15th.
The 46-year-old Englishman was also sixth at the Singapore Classic on the DPWT and his accurate approach play, which has him ranked third in GIR on LIV this season, should help him contend this week.
Casey is also sixth in fairways hit and, if he can improve his putting average of 35th, there is every chance he can triumph in Australia for the first time since 2003.
Nothing Bland about Richard’s play
Another Englishman to watch out for this week is Richard Bland, who was eighth in Hong Kong and has top-20 finishes in three of the other four LIV events this year.
The 51-year-old is unrivalled in GIR this season, highlighting his impressive approach play, and he looks a lively each-way play if he can get the flat stick rolling better.
