State basketball polls: Albany boys maintain top spot in Class 2A

ST. CLOUD — The latest state boys basketball polls released on Thursday, Jan. 2 from Minnesota Basketball News have Sauk Rapids-Rice and Albany in the same spots.

But that’s not a bad thing.

Sauk Rapids-Rice

(7-1) is ranked No. 3 in Class 4A and Albany (8-0) is still No. 1 in Class 2A.

Cretin-Derham Hall (8-0) is No. 1 in Class 4A and Hopkins (9-0) is No. 2.

The Storm are back in action Friday night at home against Fergus Falls (7-1).
