WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — Several DMV schools have made it on the list of the nation’s top-ranked public high schools, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 rankings.
Once again — Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia gets the region’s top spot and an overall ranking of 14th.

Two schools from the District are in the top 100. The School Without Walls came in at 68th and Benjamin Banneker Academy High School in the northwest is 96th in the country.
The rankings are based on state assessments and how well a school prepares students for college.
