SEC Football 2024 Preseason Poll: Georgia picked to finish first, full preseason All-SEC teams
With SEC Football Media Days wrapping up Thursday in Dallas, the final countdown to Week 0 is well and truly underway.
And with that comes the release of the SEC Football Preseason Poll on Friday, to which at no surprise — despite the addition of Texas — Georgia was once again picked to finish atop of the SEC.
Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs were picked to be the outright SEC champions, as the additions of Texas and Oklahoma got rid of the SEC East and SEC West Divisions for the first time since 1991. Texas received the second-most first-place votes to win the SEC behind Georgia.

The Kalen DeBoer-led Alabama Crimson Tide received 12 first-place votes with Ole Miss rounding out the top four with four votes. And somehow, given its projection to finish dead last at 16 in the overall preseason poll, Vanderbilt once again received two first-place votes.
Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell and Alabama offensive lineman Tyler Booker headline the preseason All-SEC First Team Offense. Newly joined SEC quarterback Quinn Ewers (Texas) was given preseason All-SEC Second Team honors while Alabama junior quarterback Jalen Milroe received third team.
