SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Some of the best girls basketball players in South Dakota and the upper midwest will soon get a chance to prove that they are among the best in the nation.
The Sanford Sports 16 and Under “Black” squad has been invited to the 24 team field for the USA Basketball Club Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and event that features the top AAU girls basketball teams in the country.
Made up of nine players from South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and Nebraska, the team will face off against some of the top talent in the United States in front of major Division One college coaches and for good reason.
It’s an invitation only event and they’ve proven themselves worthy as one of the top teams nationally. The tournament runs July 27th through the 29th.
