Rangers have sold Sam Lammers to FC Twente for an undisclosed fee, with the forward signing a three-year deal.
The Dutchman, 27, moved to Ibrox last summer for a reported £3.5m, scoring twice in 31 outings.
He joined Utrecht on loan in January, netting 11 goals in 20 appearances.
“The ambitions of the club are big and that suits me,” said Lammers on returning to his homeland with Twente.
“We are definitely going to play European football and hopefully we will enter the Champions League. I will do my best to help with that.”
Twente finished third in the Eredivisie last season, four places above Utrecht.
Lammers was with Italian club Atalanta for three years before his switch to Glasgow, spending time on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, Empoli and Sampdoria.
