Alabama football’s offense has been built on a simple math equation: four plus two equals six, combining quarterback Jalen Milroe’s jersey number, freshman phenom Ryan Williams’ jersey number to get the number of points awarded for touchdowns.
Ever since Williams joined Alabama’s roster over the summer, he’s been out-of-this-world, quickly jumping up the Crimson Tide depth chart and becoming Milroe’s favorite target at age 17.

When Alabama needed it most, Williams stepped up, spinning around two Georgia defenders and waltzing his way into a 75-yard game-winning score in the Crimson Tide’s 41-34 win against te Bulldogs.
It may have not been a score, but Williams’ 54-yard catch against Georgia stunned a sold-out Bryant-Denny Stadium crowd. The 17-year-old bobbled a pass from Milroe twice before juking two defenders and securing a significant gain in the Crimson Tide’s 41-34 win against Georgia.
On a score incredibly similar to his first collegiate touchdown against Western Kentucky, Williams found daylight as he burned Wisconsin cornerback RJ Delancy with a safety nowhere to be found. Williams’ 31-yard score from Milroe was the first of a six-touchdown day in Alabama’s 42-10 win against the Badgers.
Williams’ third touchdown in his first two games came in the fourth quarter against South Florida. The Alabama freshman turned a 6-yard curl route into a 43-yard score during Alabama’s 42-16 win against the Bulls, using his speed to beat multiple defenders and evading one tackler.
Williams’ second touchdown of his college career came on his second catch, when he caught a pass from Milroe across the middle, broke multiple tackles and ran into the end zone for the Crimson Tide’s sixth touchdown of its 63-0 win against Western Kentucky.
For the first catch of his collegiate career, Williams found himself in the end zone, scoring on a 84-yard go route where he was wide open between a Western Kentucky cornerback and Hilltoppers safety for Alabama’s third touchdown of a 63-0 win.
