Kerala resumed Day 2 on 206/4 with captain Sachin Baby (69 off 195b; 8×4) and Azharuddeen at the crease. Gujarat left-arm pacer Arzan Nagwaswalla dismissed Baby off the second ball of the day, leaving Kerala in a spot of bother.
However, southpaw Salman Nizar 52 and Azharuddeen helped calm nerves, with a 149-run partnership — the highest in Kerala’s innings so far.
Brief Scores: Kerala 418 for 7 (Azharuddeen 149*, Baby 69, Nagwaswalla 3-64) vs Gujarat
