In a development, private train services are now available for travellers in Kerala seeking adventures to renowned destinations like Goa, Mumbai, and Ayodhya. Starting next month, the inaugural private train journey from Kerala to Goa, organised by SRMPR Global Railways in partnership with Kochi’s Princy World Travel Limited, will set sail.
This initiative presents a unique opportunity for individuals or groups of up to 600 passengers to reserve exclusive train trips to these iconic destinations from Kerala. Departing from Thiruvananthapuram on June 4th, the maiden voyage will head to Madgaon in Goa, offering a four-day tour package with three tiers of comfort: 2-tier AC, 3-tier AC, and non-AC sleeper, priced at INR 16,400, INR 15,150, and INR 13,999 per person, respectively. The package encompasses accommodation, meals, and sightseeing, along with additional amenities such as off-board travel, guided excursions, hotel stays, and travel insurance.
While private train tourism has been established in other states, this marks Kerala’s first venture into this domain. Princy Tours aims to roll out approximately 12 trains from Kerala, initially focusing on routes to Mumbai, Goa (four-day package), and Ayodhya (eight-day package), with future routes being determined by demand and popularity.
These trains, procured from Indian Railways and soon to be supplemented by imports from Germany, offer limited stops and exclusive access for ticket holders. With features like CCTV surveillance and WiFi, each journey ensures safety and connectivity. Boarding points are spread across Kerala, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
Embark on an unforgettable journey exploring India’s rich tapestry aboard these private trains from Kerala, where meticulous planning meets unparalleled comfort.
