Porter Airlines shines as North America’s Best Regional Airline, setting high standards in aviation excellence.

Porter Airlines clinched the title of Best Regional Airline in North America at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards.

This award is given to airlines mainly operating flights within North America. Participants from over 100 countries contribute to the globe’s most extensive airline passenger satisfaction survey to determine the winners. The award ceremony this year took place in London, England.

“Porter has redefined air travel for 17 years. Porter Airlines redefines economy air travel throughout North America by prioritizing a more enhanced in-flight economy experience. Each aircraft features a two-by-two seat configuration, eliminating middle seats entirely. Since its inception in 2006, Porter has laid the groundwork for this high standard with its unique regional services, now expanding across North America.

Over the last 18 months, the airline has achieved significant milestones:

• Recruited over 2,000 new staff members
• Acquired 35 new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft
• Expanded its fleet to 64 aircraft, including 29 Dash 8-400s
• Launched numerous new routes and added 20 destinations

Porter’s network now extends from Victoria in the west to St. John’s in the east within Canada. Additionally, its U.S. expansion includes five destinations in Florida, as well as cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, with plans to introduce flights to Phoenix this winter.
