The Oregon women’s basketball team has earned a spot in the AP Top 25.
Following an upset win over then-No. 12 Baylor on Sunday night, the Ducks (3-0) came in at No. 25 in Monday’s rankings, the second AP poll of the 2024-25 season.
Star guard Deja Kelly led the way with 20 points for the Ducks against the Bears, with Oregon’s scrappy defense holding Baylor to 41% shooting and staving off a fourth quarter comeback attempt. Elisa Mevius hitting the game-winning layup late in front of a rowdy crowd at Matthew Knight Arena.
Baylor dropped five spots to No. 17 in the latest rankings after losing to the Ducks.
With Oregon coming in at No. 25, the Big Ten has seven schools ranked in the AP Top 25, and four more receiving votes: No. 3 USC, No. 5 UCLA, No. 11 Maryland, No. 12 Ohio State, No. 21 Nebraska, No. 23 Illinois, No. 25 Oregon, Iowa (RV), Michigan (RV), Michigan State (RV), and Indiana (RV).
