Week 13 of the NFL season starts with games on Thanksgiving Day and a Black Friday game, concluding November. Divisional rivalry games are featured in December, including best matchups, as well as a potential ticket to the playoffs for a few teams. With NFL+, fans can view live local and prime-time games on their phones and watch seven hours of live football coverage on Sundays on NFL RedZone.
The NFL is holding a Thanksgiving-themed game featuring the top two running backs, a leading MVP candidate, and a pair of threatening defenses. It’s a matchup that cannot be missed on Sunday. Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson and surrounding cast members, such as Derek Henry, Justice Hill, Razor Bateman, and Mark Andrews, did well in the Baltimore Monday Night Football win over the Chargers.
The Eagles’ Week 12 field day in L.A. was marked by Saquon Barkley’s 302-yard effort and a five-sack beatdown from Philly’s defense. Philly has ranked No. 3 in the NFL Power Rankings for seven straight wins, with top marks in rushing efficiency and pass and run defense. Baltimore is No. 1 and No. 2 in passing and rushing efficiency, respectively, and No. 2 in run defense efficiency. Both teams are expected to disrupt each other’s strengths, so it is one match worth seeing.
The Bengals, at 4-7, have a good record, and four of their seven losses were by five points or less. They have scored the sixth-most points in the league, outscoring the top offenses in the Chiefs, Texans, Vikings, and Eagles. Joe Burrow is playing his best football, and Ja’Marr Chase already has reached the 1,000-yard mark.
Steelers must tackle the Bengals in the battle of a very critical game in the division that could test their defensive capability given that the Bengals’ offense appears to be in their top form. Russell Wilson has finally found his rhythm, having clicked with George Pickens, who may ruin the Bengals’ 24th-ranked defense. The Steelers are only averaging 22.9 points per game, and the best football is expected when the Bengals have the ball and the Steelers are trying to take it.
The Cardinals are coming off a bye and were unable to get the running game going and get into the end zone. The Cardinals were pressured 16 times for five sacks; that is the most sacks he has taken in a game since Week 9 of 2022. It will be difficult for him to overcome this week because they face the number one-ranked run defense with the ninth-ranked pressure rate.
The Vikings won another four games against the Bears, thanks largely to Sam Darnold for a clutch overtime performance plus a significant performance by Jordan Addison. Though they had done well on defense, some impressive performances by Caleb Williams with 340 yards off 33 completions argue that they are not unconquerable. The right version of Murray may lead to a fierce dogfight.
Despite a good performance by the Chargers against Baltimore, their good times were cut short as J.K. Dobbins left the game early with a knee injury. The offense lost many passes and committed several penalties. The team is well-prepared to succeed even with Dobbins expected to miss some time.
The Falcons, coming off their Week 12 bye, are facing a lack of consistency on offense and will have kicker Younghoe Koo, with the lowest field goal percentage since his rookie year. Unless Kirk Cousins is in good form, this could be very competitive, but the variable that remains a concern-which Falcons team will actually show up-is a tremendous issue.
The Rams, coming off a loss to the Eagles, will face a Saints team that will exploit their run defense, and Alvin Kamara and Taylor Hill may exploit the run defense. Matthew Stafford and his receiving duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua remain one of the league’s elite groups, and the Saints defense has allowed the third-most passing yards to opponents this year.
The Rams have used motion on 79.4% of pass plays this season, averaging seven yards per play and 3.7 yards per pass play without motion. The Rams have scored 14 of their 15 passing touchdowns on motion plays. The Saints have seen motion on 57.4% of dropbacks, allowing 6.4 yards per play compared to 7.5 on pass plays without motion. They have allowed five passing touchdowns and intercepted seven passes against motion-featured plays this season.
