The Pittsburgh Steelers have a plethora of elite defensive players, one of which is safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick has more All-Pro selections amongst safeties than anyone since 2019 with three. And while he had an injury-riddled season in 2023, NFL scouts, executives, and coaches still ranked him as the fourth-best safety in the NFL, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
“[Fitzpatrick is] still a great player [who] you have to know where he is at all times,” a veteran AFC scout said, via Fowler. “[He] can flip the game at any time with a big play. Ball production always comes and goes at that position. [2023] wasn’t his best year but still instinctive and tough. Has the playmaking knack, just not quite the same opportunities last year.”
Fitzpatrick had his first season of his career without any interceptions in 2023. With a clean bill of health, combined with a lot of added talent on that side of the ball, a rebound year is in the making for No. 39.
