Miami Dolphins safety Jevon Holland has been one of the finest players at his position since he entered the NFL in 2021. And while his numbers aren’t gawdy, and he has yet to earn a Pro Bowl or All-Pro nod, the talent and football IQ that Holland possesses makes him stand out in a league full of talented safeties.
Holland was ranked as the league’s fifth-best safety by NFL executives, scouts, and coaches, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. And one AFC executive believes Holland is the league’s top safety.
“He’s got versatility to play the post, match up in man coverage, blitz and is still young and ascending,” said the executive, per Fowler. “And he’s got added value with return ability.”
The versatility and ability to adapt certainly stands out when talking about the Oregon product, who will play under his third defensive coordinator in three years this season when Anthony Weaver calls the plays.
