A field of ten compete over six furlongs at Newmarket in the Fillies’ Stakes on Friday. Kodilicious looks to have solid form claims on her best runs under rules, which includes a close second behind Smoke Them Out over six furlongs at Cork at the start of October.

Was underwhelming on more testing ground following that effort at Naas, but still finished a respectable fifth, and just over two lengths behind Last Encore. Kodilicious has already won under rules, steaming clear of the field over an extended five furlongs on yielding to soft ground at Sligo in early August.

Jessie Harrington has been among the winners in recent weeks, striking at 14%. Safffie Osborne takes the ride on Friday, and she has been in excellent recent form after landing five winners from her last 36 rides. Kodilicious may be inconsistent, but if she brings her A-game to Newmarket, she remains the one to beat.
