November was a big month for hotel and resort openings across the globe, from the opening of two Princess Hotels & Resorts in Jamaica to upcoming announcements in destinations from the Dominican Republic to Barbados and beyond.

Princess Hotels & Resorts entered into Jamaica with the opening of two new all-inclusives: Princess Senses The Mangroves and Princess Grand Jamaica. Both resorts are located between Negril and Montego Bay, offering great access to both towns as well as the airport.
Princess Senses The Mangroves is an adults-only property offering 401 ocean suites and 14 overwater villas, Palladium Club Suites, 14 restaurants, 15 drinking venues and a luxury spa.
Princess Grand Jamaica is a family-friendly resort with 590 ocean view suites, as well as family and master suites for larger groups. It also features three pools, nine restaurants and eight drinking venues.
Marriott’s third quarter results showed another positive quarter this year. Its record development pipeline includes 3,800 properties, which is roughly 585,000 rooms, with over 220,000 currently under construction. During the fourth quarter, Marriott expects to reduce jobs at the corporate level, with an estimated $100 million in restructuring.
Blue Diamond Resorts’ Royalton CHIC Barbados, expected to open in 2026, will now be part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection when it opens, allowing Marriott Bonvoy members to earn and redeem loyalty rewards points for stay at the adults-only resort.
The Thompson Playa del Carmen Main House and Beach House will be rebranded by the end of the year, and renamed the Hyatt Centric Playa del Carmen. It’ll offer family-friendly and adults-only sections, all with the Hyatt Centric focus of offering a centralized property with great amenities in mind.
Beginning this November, travelers who are Wyndham Rewards members can now earn and spend loyalty points on more than just their accommodations. Wyndham Travel Packages offers a one-stop site for travelers to book their accommodations, flight, car rentals or transfers and even some experiences, all with capability to earn and redeem their Wyndham Rewards.
Grand Hyatt is on a global expansion roll, with a dozen new openings expected through 2027. These include the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in Utah, Grand Hyatt The Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, the Grand Hyatt Jaipur in India and the Grand Hyatt St. Lucia.
Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection is expanding in the Dominican Republic with the Dreams Cap Cana Resort & Spa, expected to open by the end of this year. The property will boast over 500 rooms, with a selection of villas and swim-up suite options, 10 restaurants, six bars and a spacious spa.
