It’s another week of transfer commits in NCAA Basketball, overall 100 in the past seven days. More mid-major and other stars have picked new homes, including a few notable players who’ll be remembered for the 2024-25 season. And with the transfer portal deadline closing in 48 hours (May 1st), it’s more important to get commitments now before the last batch of players enters the portal.
Here’s the latest list of top-50 players from the past week. Honorable mentions includes Sam Walters (Alabama), Chris Manon (Vanderbilt), Dakota Leffew (Georgia), Tre Dinkins (Duquesne), David Skogman (DePaul), Deuce Turner (UC Santa Barbara), and Atin Wright (North Texas).
2023-24 season stats (at Fresno State): 11.5 ppg and 2.1 rpg
The 6’4 guard was second on the team in scoring, shooting 40% from three-point range on nearly seven attempts a game. DuSell had a 29-point effort against Air Force, making 7/8 from deep. He’ll be on his third Mountain West team in his career, replacing Nevada’s leading perimeter scorers, Kenan Blackshear and Jarod Lucas. This time, DuSell is hoping to play for a winning team in the league.
2023-24 season stats (at Saint Louis):12.0 ppg and 6.2 rpg
The 6’8 center was able to break out on his third team, shooting 53% from the field. His best game was a 20-point and six-rebound game against Davidson. He’s now at UAB, giving them even more size in the frontcourt and he’ll play alongside star forward, Yexel Lendeborg.
