NBA All-Star Game 2025 Weekend has finally here! For the first time since 2000, the San Francisco Bay Area will host All-Star celebrations, one of the NBA’s most anticipated events. This time, there are exciting new improvements to the event.
The NBA All-Star Game is going to be one of the biggest events of the weekend in the basketball world, featuring a revamped format that promises to bring fresh energy to the competition. Alongside the established stars, the league’s rising talents will also have their moment in the spotlight.
In this article, we have listed everything you need to know about the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend, including schedules, rosters, and format changes.
While earning the title of All-Star Game starter is prestigious, this year’s format is unlike previous editions. The 24 NBA All-Stars (10 starters and 14 reserves) will be divided into three teams of eight for a three-game mini-tournament on Sunday. TNT analysts Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith selected the teams during the NBA All-Star Draft on February 6, 2025.
The NBA Rising Stars Game, which features a squad of NBA G League standouts and the best first- and second-year players, will be played by the fourth team in the tournament.
There are three games in the four-team tournament: two semifinals and a championship match. A target score of 40 points will be reached at the end of each game, and the first side to reach that total wins.
