The biggest NBA video game franchise has once again announced their player ratings for the upcoming game release. Visual Concepts’ NBA 2K video game series is drumming up hype for the release of NBA 2K25 in advance of the 2024-25 NBA season.
And as such, the developers have given each player in the NBA a rating up to 100 as an overall rating. Atlanta’s own Trae Young ultimately landed at 25th overall with an 89 rating.
That, unfortunately, is where the good news stops. No other Hawk landed in the top 100. Recently traded Hawk and current Pelican Dejounte Murray landed at 45th overall with an 86 rating.
NBA 2K Top 100 said no to Bogdan Bogdanovic off a push for Sixth Man of the Year, a successful FIBA World Cup run and a successful Olympics campaign in the past 12 months. NBA 2K Top 100 said no to rising star Jalen Johnson who was just one of 11 players to average at least 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and a steal per game last season.
Ditto for Clint Capela, Zaccharie Risacher, Onyeka Okongwu, Dyson Daniels, De’Andre Hunter — the list goes on.
What say you? Were the Hawks unfairly snubbed of representation? Sound off in the comments below.
