Prior to the absolutely loaded slate that college basketball has on Saturday, the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee has released the top 16 teams in the nation, similarly to a college football playoff reveal. The committee shared the 1-4 seeds in each region of the tournament as it stands today.
The Spartans were not listed among the top 16 teams.
Before dropping three of their last four, Michigan State is a team that would have been thought to have been in contention for a three seed in the NCAA Tournament, but now, in a massive skid, the Spartans have fallen out of the top 16, meaning they are most likely on the five or six line.
With the schedule not getting any easier, the Spartans need to find a way to get some wins to properly bring themselves back into some adequate seeding.
