The Michigan girls basketball season is heading into the final weeks of the regular season, with some teams concluding their schedule a week early to prepare for the playoffs.
The Michigan High School Athletic Association will seed the brackets Sunday, determining the matchups for the upcoming district tournaments starting Monday, March 3.
Before the playoffs begin, teams will compete for conference championships and try to improve their seeding with a crucial week of games.

Division 2
Goodrich recovered from a 45-39 loss to Frankenmuth by blowing out Clio, 57-19. The Martians head into the Flint Metro League crossovers, with a matchup against 13-4 Flushing Tuesday before a league crossover game Thursday or Friday.
Division 1
Dexter has played one of the most ambitious schedules in the state, with losses to Detroit Renaissance, Detroit Country Day, Chelsea, Parma Western and Temperance Bedford. But Dexter is riding a seven-game winning streak into one of its biggest weeks of the season. After a game Tuesday at 7-9 Ann Arbor Pioneer, Dexter takes on Bedford for first place in the Southeastern Conference Red Division. Dexter finishes the week with a Friday matchup at 14-2 Chelsea, which topped Dexter 55-49 in the first meeting.
Division 2
After beating Frankenmuth, Freeland blew out Bay City John Glenn, 55-24, and Swan Valley, 50-27, heading into a busy week. After a game Monday against Flint Carman-Ainsworth, the Falcons face a strong Sanford Meridian team Wednesday before finishing Friday against Bridgeport.
Division 3
Niles Brandywine had little trouble getting past a good Lawton team, 53-24, heading into a three-game week. After playing Richland Gull Lake Monday, Brandywine faces 13-4 South Haven Wednesday before a Lakeland Conference championship game against Berrien Springs. In the first meeting, Brandywine topped Berrien Springs, 68-26.
Division 2
Haslett had a strong week with wins over Detroit Country Day, 80-52, and Williamston, 60-48, heading into a three-game week. After Tuesday’s game at 12-7 East Lansing, Haslett travels Wednesday to face 2-14 Lansing Eastern. To end the week, Haslett takes on 15-3 St. Johns in a game with a Capital Area Conference Red title on the line.
Division 1
After a 63-14 win over Davison, Heritage posted a quality win over Flint Powers, 45-41. The Hawks head into a week that includes a game Tuesday against 3-11 Lapeer and Friday at 2-17 Bay City Central.
Division 2
Frankenmuth posted a win over a strong Goodrich team, 45-39, before knocking off Alma, 64-36. The Eagles need the momentum heading into one of the toughest weeks of the season. The Eagles face Rockford, the No. 1 team in Division 1, on Tuesday before a Saturday game at 12-3 Detroit Edison, one of the top teams in Division 2.
Division 2
Negaunee ran to two more wins, blowing past Gwinn, 60-34, and Marquette, 48-22. Negaunee earned a week off before playing 3-13 Manistique Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Division 1
After two wins over Grand Rapids Christian (73-44) and Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills (69-29), Forest Hills Northern heads into a big week in the OK White. First, Northern takes on 10-9 East Grand Rapids, which is 6-2 and in third place in the OK White. Northern follows with a game at 13-5 Grand Rapids Catholic Central, which is tied with Northern for first in the conference.
Division 1
Utica Ford knocked off Warren Fitzgerald, 66-19, and Macomb Dakota, 46-37, to set up a potential revenge game. After traveling to 10-8 Warren Cousino Tuesday, Ford faces 18-1 Utica Eisenhower on Friday. Eisenhower handed Ford its only loss of the season, 64-49, in the first meeting.
Division 1
Grand Haven was not threatened in beating Grandville, 60-18, and Holland West Ottawa, 66-24. Grand Haven is off until Friday when it travels to 8-11 East Kentwood.
Division 2
Chelsea had an easy time of beating Ypsilanti, 64-39, heading into a challenging week. Chelsea travels to 18-1 Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, the top team in the state in Division 2, on Tuesday before a Wednesday game at 3-12 Jackson. Chelsea finishes with a game Friday against 13-5 Dexter.
Division 2
West Catholic blitzed Grand Rapids Northview, 48-34, and Grand Rapids Union, 56-32, to improve to 16-2. West Catholic takes on 7-11 Middleville Thornapple Kellogg on Tuesday before a Friday game at 10-8 Wyoming.
Division 2
South Christian blew past Grand Rapids Union, 76-29, and Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central, 55-34, to remain tied for first in the OK Gold. South Christian goes on the road Tuesday to face 10-9 Grand Rapids Northview before a Friday game against OK Gold rival Wayland (12-6).
Division 1
DeWitt coasted to a pair of wins, crushing East Lansing, 73-36, and Lansing Everett, 67-8. DeWitt faces 1-18 Byron Center Tuesday before a Friday game at 8-9 Lansing Waverly.
Division 1
Eisenhower had an easy week, topping L’Anse Creuse, 72-23, and Grosse Pointe South, 52-39, to set up a big week. Eisenhower begins with a matchup against 15-1 Armada, setting up a Friday showdown with 17-1 Utica Ford for the Macomb Area Conference Red title. In the first meeting, Eisenhower beat Ford, 64-49.
Division 1
Bedford claimed a 40-34 win over a solid Saline team to improve to 16-1 heading into a three-game week. After a game Tuesday at 4-12 Ypsilanti Lincoln, Bedford heads into a tough matchup at 13-5 Dexter before finishing Friday at 3-12 Jackson.
Division 2
After a week off, Edison heads into a challenging week, starting with a Tuesday game against 11-7 West Bloomfield. Edison follows with a Friday showdown at 18-1 Belleville, one of the top teams in Division 1. After the Friday matchup, Edison plays Saturday against 16-3 Frankenmuth, one of the top teams in Division 2.
Division 1
Midland High put a stranglehold on the Saginaw Valley League race with a 62-46 win over a solid Flint Powers team before topping Bay City Central, 52-23. The Chemics head into two more SVL games, taking on 10-7 Grand Blanc Tuesday and 9-10 Bay City Western Friday.
Division 1
Renaissance rolled past Redford Westfield Prep, 63-22, to prepare for a showdown in the Operation Friendship game Thursday. Renaissance travels to face Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard, the No. 1 team in Division 2.
Division 1
After beating Livonia Stevenson, 79-31, Belleville exacted some revenge on Wayne Memorial, which handed Belleville its lone loss with a 57-52 decision earlier this season. Belleville answered with a 62-38 romp past Wayne. After a game Tuesday at 10-8 Dearborn, Belleville faces another challenge Friday with a matchup against 12-3 Detroit Edison.
Division 2
Parma Western had little trouble posting wins over Hastings, 55-36, and Marshall, 50-33, to prepare for a Tuesday game against 12-6 Coldwater for first place in the Interstate 8 conference. Parma Western finishes with a game Friday against 8-11 Battle Creek Pennfield.
Division 2
Tecumseh crushed Pinckney, 52-21, and Jackson, 84-21, heading into a challenging week. Tecumseh takes on 12-5 Jackson Lumen Christi on Tuesday before a game Friday against 13-6 Northville.
Division 1
Rockford goes on the road Tuesday for an interesting matchup against Division 2 power Frankenmuth (16-3) after a strong week with wins over Hudsonville (57-45) and Grandville (65-24). Rockford finishes the week Friday at 2-14 Holland West Ottawa.
Division 2
Gabriel Richard continues to hold down the No. 1 spot after beating Williamston, 57-18, and Toledo Notre Dame, 48-31, heading into a tough week. Gabriel Richard opens with 14-2 Chelsea on Tuesday before Thursday’s Operation Friendship showdown against 18-1 Detroit Renaissance.
