Wisconsin coach Greg Gard sums up loss to No. 8 Michigan State
The Badgers coach met with the media following a 71-62 loss to the Spartans Sunday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan.
Michigan State basketball continued its ascent in the rankings by reaching No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
The Spartans, the highest-ranked team in the Big Ten, weren’t the only team from the conference included in the top 25. Wisconsin, Maryland, Michigan and Purdue were also in the latest Coaches Poll.
Maryland, Purdue and Wisconsin are all tied for 12-6 records with one week remaining in the regular season, with each of the three ranked programs looking to pull ahead for higher seeding in the upcoming Big Ten Tournament. Michigan State and Michigan are at first and second in the Big Ten standings with 15-3 and 14-4 conference records, respectively.
