San Francisco 49ers star Trent Williams is the top-ranked offensive lineman in Madden NFL 25.
Williams earned a spot in the 99 Club for the second time in his career. Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin (97 overall) and Detroit Lions right tackle Penei Sewell (96 overall) are right behind Williams in the rankings.
Here are the top 10 offensive lineman in Madden NFL 25 when the game launches on Aug. 16:
If players can use Madden ratings as negotiating leverage, Williams will be happy with EA Sports. He is in the midst of a contract holdout with the 49ers and has yet to report to training camp.
Even at 36 years old and going into his 14th NFL season, Williams is showing no signs of slowing down. If anything, he is getting better with age. The Oklahoma alum has been named to the All-Pro first team in each of the last three seasons.
Williams is the third confirmed member of the 99 Club, along with 49ers teammate Christian McCaffrey and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
This marks the second straight year that one team has had multiple players in the 99 Club. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs both received 99 overall ratings in Madden NFL 24.
Martin remains as dominant and reliable as any interior lineman in the NFL. The 33-year-old has made the All-Pro team in every season he’s played at least 14 games. The only time he missed out was in 2020 when a calf injury limited him to 10 games.
Like Williams, Martin has been an All-Pro first-team selection in each of the past three years. The Cowboys figure to rely on him even more this season after losing Tyler Biadasz and Tyron Smith from their offensive line in free agency.
The great Sewell-Ja’Marr Chase debate leading up to the 2021 NFL draft has turned out to be a win for all involved. The Cincinnati Bengals are thrilled with Chase and his chemistry with Joe Burrow.
Sewell has been an essential part of the foundation in Detroit for head coach Dan Campbell. The 23-year-old earned his first All-Pro nod last season. He has only missed one start in each of his first three years.
If the New York Jets want to reach their full potential this season, it will likely come down to the health of Smith and Aaron Rodgers. The four-time MVP is going to be the main deciding factor for the club, but the addition of Smith at left tackle is potentially huge.
Smith allowed one sack, one quarterback hit and 16 pressures in 536 pass-blocking snaps in 2023. Injuries are the big concern, as he has missed at least three games in every season since 2016. He played a total of 17 games in three seasons from 2020 to ’22.
Williams, Martin, Lane Johnson, Chris Lindstrom, Laremy Tunsil and Tristan Wirfs are holdovers in the top 10 from last year’s game. The four players who fell out of the top 10 are Cleveland Browns guard Joel Bitonio, Indianapolis Colts guard Quenton Nelson, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and New York Giants tackle Andrew Thomas.
Kelce’s retirement opened the door for Frank Ragnow of the Lions to take over as the highest-ranked center in Madden, though he is followed closely by Chiefs star Creed Humphrey.
