Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Bearaway and Unreal Connection, who both sport first-time blinkers, will want a good test over this trip round here, likewise Commander Crouch. Conversely, habitual hard-puller Havana Touch will need to settle better if he’s to see it out upped from 7f. Consistent maiden King Of Fury should go well again, probably from the front, but the vote goes to TOP OF THE CLASS, who’s looking for a third C&D win of the season upped 4lb.
The form of her same course and distance win last time was boosted by the runner-up, and MARBLE ANGEL can score again off 4lb higher. Cousin Shay, Feature This and Comfort Line can give her most to do.
Lilkian and Liosa (second choice) come here on the back of a good AW run, but HAVANA SKY may be the answer. Unexposed as a sprinter, he followed his 6f win at Thirsk with a creditable effort over an inadequate 5f at Lingfield ten days ago. The return to a sixth furlong could be the catalyst for another improved showing.
After a fine handicap debut at Clonmel over a furlong shorter, STEP TO SOMEWHERE looks ready to go one better over a trip which should suit. Tipperary 1m1f winner Special Angel has prospects of staying this trip but is up 7lb. Hurricane Helen and Explorers Way can run well.
