Łódź has been named one of the most beautiful places in 2024 by the British travel section of The Independent.

The city came fifth in a list of 14 locations, behind cities such as Marseille or the Greek island of Corfu, that particularly impressed the editors. As its biggest qualities, the author of the ranking listed affordable prices for a luxurious stay and the historical heritage of the city.

Apart from the 150 years of architectural tradition, this city also has a legacy of multiculturalism. For many years before the Second World War, Łódź was the second city in Poland with the biggest Jewish community after Warsaw.

In recent years, the city authorities have devoted considerable effort to revitalising the city. Today Łódź offers its visitors plenty, including local cuisine, sightseeing, unique street art, and attractions of the Polish film industry. All of this makes it one of the most worthy destinations for a visit.
