The second half of the game saw Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer stitch a formidable partnership to seal an eight-wicket victory for KKR. Kolkata will now look to put an appropriate end to their solid campaign by bagging their third crown of the tournament.
The IPL 2024 final between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Sunrisers Hyderabad will be played in Chepauk, Chennai. The match will be hosted at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 26.
With Pat Cummins at the helm, Hyderabad have also been phenomenal this season. They bagged eight wins in the group stage to earn a place in the first qualifier. A loss against Kolkata resulted in the Orange Army side taking on the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2. Despite putting up an average total of 175 runs, SRH won the match by 36 runs. Cummins will now be looking to spearhead his team to their second-ever IPL crown.
