Brenden Rice—the son of Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice—is off to the NFL after two seasons at Colorado and two seasons with USC.
He played well for the Trojans, catching 84 passes for 1,402 yards and 16 touchdowns in two campaigns, including 12 scores last season.
Being the son of a legendary wideout brings high expectations, of course, though the B/R NFL Scouting Department gave the younger Rice a fourth-round grade, noting that he could be “a solid vertical X receiver in the NFL. He has the size, strength and explosive movement skills to do so. With that said, Rice still needs to learn to wield his strength more efficiently.”
