I’ve reviewed plenty of vacuum cleaners for TechRadar over the years, including the Dyson V15 Detect, and even three years after its release into the Australian market, I think it’s still the best cordless vacuum from Dyson. It is, however, expensive – as most Dyson products are – and if you can pick it up when it’s discounted, it’s excellent value.
The reason I love the V15 Detect is that it’s motor still holds its own on hard floors and carpets, plus you get a decent runtime even with the motorised cleaning heads attached. The Absolute model also gets you the Fluffy Optic cleaning head, which uses a little green light to illuminate microscopic particles of dust on hard floors that you can then clean up for a more thorough job. The Digital Motorbar is perfect for carpets and it’s been designed to be tangle-free. If you are still worried about long hair or fur, you also get the Hair Screw Tool too. There are two additional attachments as well.
The V15 Detect Absolute was AU$996 at the start of Prime Big Deal Days in October, which makes this particular offer of AU$849.98 on Amazon even better. That’s a really generous 41% off, which means you could see this get cheaper still – the operative word being ‘could’ because there are no guarantees the discounts will be better come the actual Black Friday sale. If this price looks good to you, I’d suggest sucking up the savings before you miss out (pun very much intended).

Need a new set of headphones? I personally love Bose – in fact, I use the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earphones (the in-ears) as my daily set, but also own the black colourway of the over-ear version of the Ultras as well, which I use during video calls and on long-haul flights.
In our Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones review, we labelled them “simply the best”, as Tina put it so eloquently. While our reviewer wasn’t very impressed with the battery life (a maximum of 24 hours on a single charge) as others at its price range offer way, way more, we couldn’t argue with its noise cancellation and its sound quality. It’s also one of the most comfortable cans I’ve tried.
If this is something you’d bee keen on, you can snap up a set of Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones from Amazon in any color for just AU$448.20. Note that they’re already discounted to AU$498 each, but check the Redeem button for an additional 10% off to be applied at checkout.

Let’s start with one of the most popular purchases during Black Friday – a TV.
The LG C4 OLED is one of TechRadar’s favourite TVs of 2024, finding itself in our best TVs in Australia list as the most versatile option. In our LG C4 OLED review, we praised its picture quality as being excellent, but also loved it for being one of the best TVs for gaming too. The webOS platform is easy to use and, importantly, you can snap up practically any size from Appliance Central for some really great discounts. My pick would be the 65-inch as it’s the sweet spot in terms of size for most homes, and it’s got a generous AU$1,369 saving – down to AU$2,930.
