After a 2-0 start to the 2024-25 campaign, Indiana moved up a spot in the new AP Top-25.
The Hoosiers are now No. 16 with the first week of the season now in the rearview mirror.
Indiana defeated SIU Edwardsville 80-61 and Eastern Illinois 90-55 this past week to open the new campaign.
Joining the Hoosiers from the Big Ten in the new AP Top-25 are No. 13 Purdue, No. 21 Ohio State and No. 24 Rutgers.
The Hoosiers don’t play again until Saturday when their first high major challenge arrives in Bloomington. IU will host unranked South Carolina at 3 p.m. ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall (Peacock). The Gamecocks are 1-1 to open the season with a loss to North Florida and win over South Carolina State. They play Towson on Tuesday before heading up to Bloomington.
The IU men are also No. 16 in the new coaches poll released on Monday.
IU women’s basketball exited the AP Top-25 after their 1-1 start including a home loss to Harvard.
