With Indiana high school boys basketball season winding down, the top teams in the Indiana On3 Composite Rankings fiercely compete for victories. Every succeeding win will help their playoff placement and bolster their confidence against fierce competition. That said, here are the state’s top teams, with four teams making it to the nationwide top 100.
The On3 Composite High School Basketball Team Rankings is a proprietary algorithm that compiles rankings listed in the public domain by respected High School media and data companies. It includes Massey, Max Preps, Cal Preps, ESPN, and SI, creating the industry’s most comprehensive and geographically balanced High School Team Ranking.
The Tigers improved to 16-0 after beating the Carroll Chargers 72-40. Four Fishers players scored in double digits, with Jason Gardner and Justin Kirby scoring 15 points each. Meanwhile, Logan Sigler and Millen McCartney added 11 points each. The Tigers had a 14-3 edge in steals and a 17-5 advantage in assists. The 14th-best team in the nation will try to keep their undefeated run going against Franklin Central on January 31.
After losing to Ben Davis on January 17, the Wildcats have earned back-to-back victories against Plainfield and North Central. Kai McGrew punished the Panthers with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks, while Azavier Robinson had 22 points, ten assists, and five steals. The country’s 43rd-best team will target their 13th win of the season against New Palestine.
The third-best team in Indiana high school boys basketball improved to 12-4 after defeating Crispus Attucks 71-63. Brady Koehler led the way for the Fighting Irish with 20 points, 11 rebounds, three steals, and four blocks. Meanwhile, Julien Smith supported with 13 points and two blocks. The 60th-best team in the nation will aim to extend their winning streak against Winton Woods on February 1.
The Cougars are at 13-2 after their 82-60 home win against Shelbyville. Braylon Mullins was a one-man wrecking crew, tallying 43 points, ten rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks. Cooper Robertson added 14 points and six rebounds, while Michael Johnson finished with 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists. The country’s 72nd-best team will try to extend their winning streak to seven games against Pendleton Heights on January 31.
The Red Devils are on a four-game winning streak after sneaking past Columbus East 55-53. Tre Singleton converted the last-second layup that gave Jeffersonville its tenth victory in 15 games. Jeffersonville will try to keep their four-game winning streak going when they visit Bedford-North Lawrence on January 31.
After suffering their first loss in the 2024-25 Indiana high school boys basketball season, the Shamrocks are on a roll. Their winning streak is at ten games after a 46-33 result over Muncie Central. Will Harvey Westfield’s best player with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Durante Morton contributed nine points, while Jalen Malon finished with seven points, four rebounds, and four assists. The Shamrocks will go for victory number 13 against Avon on January 31.
The Bulldogs remain undefeated after 12 games via their 50-49 victory over Chesterton. It’s their second victory by one point this season, with the first one happening on December 14 last year against Wayne. Crown Point will aim for a 13-0 record against LaPorte on January 31.
After a ten-game winning streak, the Giants have struggled by dropping consecutive games against North Central. However, they bounced back with an 85-52 win over Indianapolis Metropolitan, improving their record to 13-4. Jashawn Ladd scored a game-high 26 points against the Pumas, while Jahmir Avery had 15 points, six assists, and four steals. Ben Davis would try to start another winning streak by defeating Carmel on January 31.
After losing to top-ranked Fishers on January 24, the Orioles bounced back with a 77-47 win over Decatur Central. Keriawn Berry led Avon with 24 points, eight rebounds, six assists, four steals, and a block. Meanwhile, Kendrick Dunmore had 15 points and seven rebounds, while Jedidiah Minnett added 14 points, three assists, and two steals. The Orioles will continue their Indiana high school boys basketball season against sixth-ranked Westfield on January 31.
The Millers improved to 11-4 after a 51-44 victory over Franklin Central. Against the Flashes, Justin Curry II had 22 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Meanwhile, Baron Walker added 13 points and four rebounds. Noblesville will aim for a seven-game winning streak against Hamilton Southeastern on January 31.
