IND vs AUS Live Score: Hazlewood was the bowler and Carey was the catcher but one could see a lot of the Australians running all the way to Starc at deep fine leg when Kohli fell. That is because it really should’ve been Rahul on strike for that delivery. Rahul had absolutely nailed a pull shot previous ball behind square and it raced away towards deep fine leg for what looked like a certain four. So well did he connect that the batters just about completed a single when Starc ran and dived to his left to stop the ball from reaching the ropes.

That put Kohli on strike and he decided to play for a ball on his fifth or sixth stump outside off, as he has done so many times in his career that one doesn’t really need video analysts to know how to dismiss him. Just the skill to bowl that line, which, of course, is something only top-level bowlers have. So don’t make mistake this as me saying that anyone walking on the street can get Kohli’s wicket. Rather it took a fantastic fielding effort and the metronomic genius of Hazlewood to culminate in the delivery that fell Kohli. Surely though, the former Indian captain would be thinking that this was not a delivery that deserved his wicket.

What an unbelievable opening spell this has been from Starc and Hazlewood, regardless of the robotic manner in which the Indian batters have kept going for those drives. A big reason why they have kept driving is because Starc and Hazlewood have been as consistent as ever with their lines and lengths. India need a real miracle to stop another collapse, and possibly an innings defeat.

Mitch Marsh is the man there, he dives full stretch, catches the ball while in the air with both hands and holds on when he lands. Brilliant catch but the Indian batters are just walking into the Australian trap here.

It was a length ball that spits up from a length and seams in. It hits Rahul flush on his wrists just above the padded part of the gloves. The batter drops his bat immediately and walks off, the physio runs in and Rahul is getting some attention now. It looked quite bad but Rahul does get back to the crease and wears his helmet and gloves. He is good to go.
