Nara is entitled to plenty of respect, but AIR DROP (nap) could run them ragged from the front. If allowed to dictate matters, she will take all the beating, dropping down in trip under Jack Kennedy. Enjoy The Dream is another one that could run a big race.
It could be worth taking a chance with DUE COURSE, a chasing newcomer who is race-fit and has shown decent form in handicap hurdles.
Brucejack ended last season with a fine handicap effort and merits respect in this company despite a likely preference for further. Killinure Lass, Hidden Diamond and Noble Talent are worth considering in an open race.
The Big Chap will take some beating if he can bounce back from a dismal effort in a Down Royal Grade 2 last week, but it might be worth siding with GAELIC ARC, who will attempt to win from the front under Danny Mullins. Railway Hurricane can make gains late, but the bird might have flown over a trip short of his optimum.
CASHELDALE LAD has a lengthy absence to overcome, but he held a Triumph Hurdle entry last season and is highly regarded.
The chief danger could be Le Bugiste, who won three times on the Flat in France and is in top hands, while Madam Jess caught the eye in a Punchestown bumper and won’t have to improve much on that to figure on her hurdling bow.
Pearl Of Australia is worth a market check, and Kazakh D’Arthel is a player with a repeat of his Listowel run.
This looks like a good opportunity for ADDRAGOOLE to get off the mark after a career-best when hitting the crossbar again at Galway a fortnight ago.
He sets a clear standard, and the hood may help him settle better in the early stages. Bayrann has looked promising in bumpers, and Blaze The Way could get involved if he handles the ground.
Run For Harry, Serienmond, Marlpark and Single Edition all like to lead and might get into a barging match early on. That should leave the door open for VADSA QUEEN to stalk the leaders and pounce on the turn for home. Other dangers include Disco Dancer and Mercury Mission in what looks like a wide-open affair.
This looks competitive, with the tentative vote going to STOWAWAY LASS, who has been in better form than her form figures suggest lately. The drop back in trip could be the key to her. Delias Pet is respected under a 7lb penalty after Monday’s win, and Lar’s Lass may come on for her recent return.
Last time out winner Bowgate Street is likely to go well again, having had some of these behind at Sligo.
However, my narrow preference is for COLLEEN DANU, who ran well here on her yard debut last month. If she comes on for that run, she could be ahead of this sort of mark.
Whatyouwant showed more behind Bowgate Street last time and is another to consider.
