Michael Jordan is one of the best ever players in the history of the NBA. Over his 15-year-long career in the league, Jordan brought an aura on the court, which was never seen before and most likely will never be seen in future.
Since the inception of the league, the world saw several players lacing up their sneakers and guiding their franchises to various accolades and championships, but what Jordan has done, will be almost impossible to repeat.
As the fourteen-time All-Star and five NBA MVP Award winner, ‘His Airness’, celebrates his 62nd birthday on Sunday, let us go through his five unbreakable records:
Michael Jordan holds the records of the most scoring title, 10. Over a 15-year-long career, Jordan displayed brilliant consistency and durability, taking home the most number of scoring titles. He and Wilt Chamberlain are the only players to win the scoring title for seven straight times. Kevin Durant is the only active player who is closest to Jordan with four titles, but considering he is already 35 years old, it seems nearly impossible that he will come close to the record.

Jordan maintained an average of 30 points per game on eight different occasions. He had average in seven seasons a row, and later in 1995-96, where he finished with 30.4 points per game. Wilt Chamberlain is next in the row with seven incredible seasons with an average of over 30 points.
Michael Jordan holds the record of winning the most career Finals MVP Awards with six. He is followed by LeBron James with four awards, while Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Magic Johnson have won three Finals MVP. Since James is the closest and an active player, he might reach closer but the record seems to stand tall for times to come.
Michael Jordan has always been known for his dominance over the other teams, especially during his six championship seasons. However, apart from it, Air Jordan was popular for his work ethic and competitive spirit. In his six championship seasons, from 1990-91 to 1997-98, Jordan missed only six regular-season games in total, two in 1991-92 and four in 1992-93.
Considering how injuries have become more than frequent, and management has become more difficult, it is nearly impossible that any other player will be able to achieve the feat.
One of the greatest records set by Jordan was winning the scoring title and Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) Award in the same season. In the 1987-98 season, Jordan averaged at 35 points, 5.5 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Delivering stellar performance, Jordan ended up winning the MVP Award as well. The record still remains intact till date, and while several other players can come close to it, we don’t think it will be broken.
