— Isabella Millan, daughter of Paul and Kate Millan of Florence, is first in her class with a 4.0 grade-point average.

During her time in high school, she was a three-year member of the Florence chapter of the National Honor Society, serving as vice president. Millan is also a member of Spanish National Honor Society. She is a four-year member of the volunteer organization Together Our Responsibility Publicly Embraces Dedication and Opportunity, or TORPEDOs. Millan is actively involved with the band department, participated in jazz, concert, pep and marching bands. She also is a three-year member of Florence High School’s Hi-Q team, in which she studied art history.

Millan was in volleyball, basketball and softball. She was captain in each sport. Some notable awards were first-team all-conference in both basketball and softball over three years, Northern Lakes Conference Girls Basketball Offensive Player of the Year, basketball all-state honorable mention, WBCA Elite Academic All-State, and she was chosen to play in the Division 5 Girls Basketball All-Star Game. In basketball, she led the Northern Lakes Conference in scoring all four years of high school and accumulated 1,900 career points.

Outside of school, Millan is a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford. She enjoys volunteering at community events such as Polish Heritage Days in Armstrong Creek, ringing bells for the Salvation Army, assembling tick kits for the Florence County Health Department, coaching and volunteering at Christmas in Florence.

DUSTIN WILLIAMS

Millan works at City Sales and is a co-owner of Bigfoot Bait in Florence.

In her free time, Millan enjoys being with her family and friends, playing sports and jet skiing on the lake.

Millan plans to study environmental engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

— Dustin Williams, son of Melissa Faccio of Florence and Jake Williams of Iron Mountain, also is first in his class with a 4.00 GPA.

Williams maintained superior honors all four years of high school. He was a three-year member of the National Honor Society and was a TORPEDOs member for two years.

LUCY REUBENS

Williams participated in football, basketball and golf. He was captain of the 2023-2024 basketball team and was named second team all conference in basketball that same year. He also received scholar athlete awards throughout his four years of high school, with his best honors being all-state in football and basketball in his senior year.

He is known for making it a priority to try to put a smile on other’s faces with jokes and kind words.

Outside of school, he has played on club teams for both soccer and basketball, and in recreational soccer leagues as well. He also participated in an internship at the Great North Bank throughout his senior year.

Williams plans to seek a bachelor’s degree in computer science at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

— Lucy Reubens, daughter of Julius and Andrea Reubens of Aurora Township, ranked third in her class with a 3.938 GPA. A favorite high school class was physics.

ABIGAIL PRICE

In high school, Reubens stayed on the high honor or honor roll. As a senior, she was historian for Florence’s chapter of the National Honor Society. She is a member of the student council. Also, she is a four-year member of TORPEDOs. She was the vice president of SkillsUSA and has competed in several competitions, including electronics technology, related technical math and team engineering challenge.

Reubens also volunteered as a teacher for the CCD students at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Reubens plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

— Abigail Price, daughter of Ann and John Price of Florence, ranked fourth in her class with a 3.841 GPA. English was a favorite subject in high school.

Price in high school was a three-year member of student council, serving as secretary for one year. Additionally, she is a four-year member of TORPEDOs. Through this organization she has been involved in numerous volunteer activities, including the Bobcat Buddy youth mentorship program. She was also a two-year member of yearbook.

LOGAN THOMPSON

Price played in basketball, volleyball and softball, earning numerous Academic All-Conference awards and scholar-athlete awards.

Outside of school, Price worked at a local coffee shop and now waitresses at One O One in Florence. She said she enjoys customer service because of all the people she gets to meet along the way.

In her free time, Price enjoys being with friends and family. One of her favorite hobbies is reading.

Price plans to study accounting at the University of Mississippi.

— Logan Thompson, son of Nate and Marcia Thompson of Florence, ranked fifth in his class with a 3.777 GPA. One of his favorite high school classes was human anatomy and physiology.

Thompson maintained high honor or superior honor roll throughout high school. He has been a four-year member of TORPEDOs, three-year member of National Honor Society and two-year member of the HI-Q team.

Thompson has participated in high school football, basketball, wrestling, baseball and golf. He was co-captain of the football team in 2022 and 2023 as well. He also received numerous scholar athlete awards throughout his years.

In his free time, Thompson likes to golf, watch sports, hunt, fish and hang out with friends.

Thompson plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with further plans to be an anesthesiologist, cardiothoracic surgeon or orthopedic surgeon.

Florence County High School will have its graduation ceremonies starting at 7 p.m. today in the high school gymnasium.
