Swiss tennis player Roger Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one, has been recognized as the best tennis player of the 21st century by ESPN.
Following him is Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam winner and former number one. Rounding out the top three is Spanish player Rafael Nadal, who has claimed 22 Grand Slam titles.
Federer retired from professional tennis in September 2022 after competing at the Laver Cup in London. His farewell match was a doubles event alongside Rafael Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion and former world number one.
