We’ve firmly established the fantasy cheat code of targeting whoever is going up against the defenses of the Commanders and Panthers for the time being. We really don’t have a defense to avoid right now. The Texans and Bears looked pretty great defensively on Sunday night. The Bears still allowed top-tier production to Nico Collins (happens), but they kept C.J. Stroud mostly in check. The Texans gave up a rushing touchdown to Anthony Richardson in Week 1, but they have done a pretty good job against big-time players so far. Sorry, Alec Pierce, I said big-time players. Kidding, Pierce has been great and looks like the player to roster among the Colts’ receivers, much to the chagrin of those of us who drafted Michael Pittman Jr. Pierce has produced more than 16 fantasy points in each of the first two games, and he leads the team in receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and routes this season.
Now, on to the rest of the notes for this week …
