Two top NBA insiders are teaming up.
Jake Fischer is joining Marc Stein’s Substack page, “The Stein Line,” sources told The Post.
Fischer has grown into one of the more reliable NBA insiders in recent years.
He exited Yahoo Sports this past September and announced earlier this fall that he was returning to Bleacher Report to contribute video content.
His writing will now appear on “The Stein Line.”
Stein was the longtime top NBA insider at ESPN before he was included in a round of layoffs in 2017.
He later spent several years at the New York Times.
In 2019, Stein received the prestigious Curt Gowdy Media Award — which honors writers and broadcasters — at the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Stein launched his Substack page in 2021.
It costs $8.99 per month or $50 per year to subscribe.
Stein and Fischer could not be immediately reached for comment by The Post.
It has been a few months of upheaval in the NBA insider ranks.
For years, it was Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania vying in the top tier of the scoop game after the two had formerly been mentor and mentee.
Wojnarowski stunningly left ESPN to become the GM of his alma mater Saint Bonaventure’s basketball team, and Charania replaced him at ESPN after working for The Athletic, Stadium and FanDuel.
The Post previously reported that Chris Haynes, another upper-echelon newsbreaker, left TNT Sports and is now a free agent.
