Reaction: Joyner isn’t known for his speed, but he does have juice evident by some of the big runs he put on with limited touches as a true freshman. Joyner is a breakout candidate as the No. 2 running back for 2024 and we should see that 90 speed on display.

Reaction: The veteran cornerback is known for his long frame but checking in with the 90 will make him a go-to favorite in the secondary. Covington is projected to start this season, a nice blend of size and speed. 

T-No. 8 Zion Branch

Reaction: Despite some knee injuries delaying his progress, Branch comes from an athletic family, so it’s a no brainer to see him among the fastest players. Branch is the ultimate combination of size, speed and athleticism at safety. If he stays healthy, he can be a special player.

Reaction: The freshman safety cracks the list with his own 90 rating, a three-star safety out of the speedy state of Florida. Boatwright figures to be a deep backup with special teams potential thanks to that speed.
