An update has emerged on former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley’s WWE departure, and interest from other promotions.
Following reports that Lashley’s contract was set to expire in August, Lashley and MVP being removed from the WWE roster page appeared to confirm that the duo had left WWE.
Fightful Select has now confirmed that Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract has officially expired, with Lashley leaving the company.
Per this report, sources within WWE stated that the door was open for eventual appearances.
A number of promotions both in the US and internationally are interested in working with Lashley, including promotions within the combat sports world.
Lashley has a 15-2 professional fight record, most recently defeating Josh Appelt via a second round submission at Bellator 162 in 2016.
Those close to Lashley have reportedly indicated that Lashley will continue wrestling following his WWE exit.
Lashley last wrestled on the May 5 WWE house show in France, defeating Santos Escobar in singles action.
He last wrestled on WWE TV during the April 12 SmackDown episode, facing LA Knight and Santos Escobar in a three-way WWE Championship qualifier.
